If you are doing anything remotely related to mobile phone and you are not in India then you are losing something. How else can you explain huge foreign investment in Indian telecom? How else would you explain the launch of a new brand every month? Mobile is the future for India, and mobile web is all set to bridge the digital divide. Search for wireless internet in India has doubled over the last 3 months. Tata Indicom, MTS and Reliance Netconnect who provide 3.2 mbps wireless Internet connections are quite popular. Good fodder for the 3G operators.
Nokia which is losing its market share to
Micromax, Spice and G’Five has something to cheer about. It continues to occupy Indians mind space and that is translated to the mobile queries.
2 in every 5 web searches about mobile phone are for Nokia
Samsung which is gaining market share and ramping up its India operations and launches has two of its phone models – Samsung Corby and Samsung Champ figure in the top 10 list. Blackberry is the other phone maker which has a prominent
place in the mobile related search queries as per Experian Hitwise

Most of the phones are new launches like Nokia N8, Nokia X6 and Nokia C series phones. No signs of Micromax or Spice phones but they should be lower down the order.
