TELECOM NEWS Exclusive: Airtel To Unveil An All New Refreshing Logo

It looks like Bharti Airtel, India’s largest telecom operator is all set to undergo a brand makeover and unveil an all new refreshing new logo next week.
By looking at the logo Bharti, it looks like Airtel has taken inspiration from none other than Zain Telecom of Africa which Bharti Airtel recently acquired.
Since Airtel is going global with the acquisition of Zain Telecom, Airtel felt the necessity of changing its logo and soon this refreshing and youth looking logo will be unveiled within the next few days, probably next week, reports ET.

Airtel will be spending Rs. 300 Crores globally to change the brand identity. The new brand is expected to be unveiled all across India, Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Seychelles. Company had already said that Zain will be re-branded as Airtel recently.
 

If sources are to be believed, Bharti Airtel is planning a mega brand change of Airtel for which the company will spend around US$67.20 millions globally. The company is expected to unveil the brand next week. As per sources the Airtel’s re-branding is done by the J Walter Thompson (JWT) agency.
The makeover of the brand is expected to have a swoosh locked with the word Airtel. The font style of Airtel may also change; it is also expected that there won’t be any capital ‘A’ under the new brand. The red color, however, will still be dominant in the new brand.
The new brand is likely to be marked all across India, Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Seychelles. According to the company, Zain will be re-branded as Airtel, but, this will be part of a bigger brand to give a fresh image to Airtel.
According to sources, the brand makeover is done to give Airtel a more youthful look as it gets more global in its approach. This will be yet another evolution of the strong brand Airtel; earlier the company had merged all the segmental brands into Airtel once it appealed to the customers.
